ABOUT
Introducing diecut design! This class was created so that you can design your own svg files to use on your diecutting machine. In three lessons you will design three basic projects—a tag with envelope, box, and pillowbox. Each of these projects will help you think about how to design for the 3-D world. Carina also walks you through the basics of setting up your files correctly.
This class comes with all three svg files that Carina makes with you so you can compare and use for your personal projects!
MORE ABOUT THIS COURSE
The projects in the course will help you learn the basics of creating svg files. Even if you are not a master of Illustrator, you will be able to understand the techniques that Carina shows you and channel your creativity into projects you can use for your everyday crafting and decor!
This course is geared at teaching you how to CREATE svg files not how to import them into your diecutting machine software. Carina demonstrates how to bring in an svg to the Silhouette Designer Edition software to make you aware of how she opens files, but if you are in another software, please find out if it accepts outside svg files before taking this class.
Because this course is Illustrator-heavy, I recommend you take Illustrator Basics CS6 Course 1 before you take this class.
